Sofia Coppola

Sofia Coppola is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker with a cinematic, high fashion style. Her thoughtful narratives often reveal a feminine perspective, and have blazed a trail for women behind the lens. A frequent celebrity collaborator, her commercial work includes campaigns for Dior, Marc Jacobs, Cartier, Marni, Calvin Klein, Gap, and Chanel, and a nostalgic brand film starring Keanu Reeves for Suntory's 100th anniversary.

Beyond short-form endeavors, Coppola wrote, directed and produced several feature films including “Priscilla,” “The Virgin Suicides,” “Marie Antoniette,” “Somewhere,” “The Bling Ring,” and “On the Rocks.” Coppola won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for her film “Lost in Translation,” which also earned nominations for Best Director and Best Picture. She was named Best Director at Cannes for “The Beguiled,” the first woman to earn the award in more than 50 years and only the second to do so.
