Emmanuel Adjei
Emmanuel Adjei is an international filmmaker, creative director, and visual artist who captures human narratives and sonic journeys in atmospheric worlds. Rich in emotion and suspense, his mind-bending work challenges the boundaries between fiction and reality in the pursuit of storytelling.
In close collaboration with Beyoncé, Adjei helmed ‘Black Is King’, which premiered successfully on Disney+. Other projects receiving global acclaim include the Tiffany & Co. ‘About Love’ brand relaunch featuring Jay-Z and Beyoncé, high-concept music videos for Madonna, Sevdaliza, and FKA twigs, as well as talent-driven commercials for brands such as Lancôme, Mugler, NBA, Delta Airlines, Hugo Boss, and High Snobiety.
Adjei uncovered a passion for experimental cinema and video installations while studying at the Utrecht School of Arts in the Netherlands and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium. He has been nominated for a Grammy and his work has been screened at Academy-qualifying festivals around the world.
