A born filmmaker, Roman Coppola has honed his creative acumen and unexpected point of view by immersing himself in directing, writing, producing, inventing, sound recording, cinematography, design, concept consulting, and more. Specializing in strategic problem-solving through creativity, his talent, passion, and diverse interests have made him a leading auteur in the converging worlds of film, television, and advertising.

As a commercial director, Coppola has helmed campaigns for Nike, DirecTV, Prada, Adidas, Target, Volvo, VW, Chanel, and The New Yorker. He also imagines and guides out-of-the-box branded entertainment, including “The Seven Faces of Jane” anthology feature for Ford, docu-short series starring Keanu Reeves for Suntory Whisky, and a crossover short film collaboration with W Hotels and Intel.

In 2016, Coppola won a Golden Globe as an executive producer on acclaimed Amazon series “Mozart in the Jungle,” for which he also wrote and directed episodes; as a co-writer on “Moonrise Kingdom” with Director Wes Anderson, he was nominated for an Academy Award, Writers Guild of America Award, and BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay. Coppola also serves as president of venerated feature film production company American Zoetrope, and co-founded nonprofit decentralized pictures, which provides independent filmmakers access to project financing and mentorship through blockchain technology to create a transparent curation platform.
