M Blash

Bio

M Blash is a visual artist, screenwriter, and director who holds a deep passion for nature that drives his work in a profound way. Skilled at uncovering magical, unscripted moments, Blash finds touching, genuine stories in real-world scenarios to bring added depth and dimension to brands. He began directing commercials with a spot for Levi’s inspirational “Go Forth” campaign and has since directed short-form projects for brands such as Nike, Miu-Miu, Google, Samsung, Nintendo, League of Legends, and Chevy.

Blash studied at New York University, Charles University in Prague, and at the School of Visual Arts, where he combined his screenwriting and directing pursuits with concurrent practices in video art, photography, and drawing. His first feature film, “Lying,” premiered at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival Directors Fortnight and starred Chloe Sevigny and Jena Malone. He reunited with them in 2013 on his follow-up film “The Wait,” which debuted at the SXSW Film Festival. He’s currently in development on his third feature film “Purse-Head”, with Fat City to be shot in Portland, Oregon where he lives.
